I'm going to start with a question because I know a lot of people don't read the whole description, especially when it's long. I'm thinking about having these guys made into acrylic/plastic charms for cell phone straps and the like. Would there be any interest in that? I'm not sure how much they would be yet, but it'd probably be in the $10 range plus a little for shipping. I'd probably go for the 1.5" size; I feel like 1" is too small but 2" is too big. Please comment if you'd consider buying. ^.^; (BTW, I say cell phone charms, but they're not just for cell phones. I used to keep some on my backpack, the PSP has a spot for some, and even my USB stick has holes for one. For example. ^^)

Okay, okay, laaaast bit of
Saiyuki fanart before I move on for now. It's been a while since I last drew chibis, and while I was doing my "Seasons of Saiyuki" set, I got it in my head that I wanted to do these guys as chibis. ^o^ Hakkai's pose (green, for non-fans) popped into my head instantly. There's just something about him that's so easy for me!
I also decided to try doing these cel shaded, since chibis end up being so small that they often look almost cel shaded anyway, at least in my style. I'd always thought that the simplicity of cel shading was kind of cheap, too easy. After trying it myself, well, it
is easy in a way, but the simplicity itself actually made it challenging! There's definitely an art to it.
These are also available for tubing via MyPSPTubes on
my page there. (If they're not up yet, they should be soon. I just submitted them.) I've also got these on order as limited edition ACEOs (without the speech bubbles). I should have those in the next couple weeks, and they will be on
my Etsy shop then.
I uploaded a larger version of this (in Japanese) on
my Pixiv (which I just started! ^o^). I thought the kanji was a little hard to read at the smaller size, so I left it big. You can see it
here. (I'm not sure if this works for people without a Pixiv account...)
