Inextricable by kagaminoir Inextricable by kagaminoir
Where the light of Good shines, it brings color and hope to the world. But Good always casts an equally vivid shadow of Evil. In their opposition, like light and shadow, each of these forces is inextricably intertwined, unable exist without the other. Yet as different as they may be, they are still the two sides of the same coin we call the human construct "morality," making us victims of our own sentience. We are all a mixture of Good and Evil since none of us is perfect!

---

Blah, I should've come up with my writeup earlier; I know it's an awful piece of writing. Anyhow, this is the full, signed version of my entry for the Good v. Evil contest. The main reference was that I used my hand as the model for his. Also before I started, I took a picture of myself leaning against a wall to get the pose I had in mind. I kind of got bogged down in the middle of doing this and it was feeling really tedious, but it picked back up much later and at the deadline. *sigh* I do need to figure out how to get these things done faster so I don't lose interest.

Unfortunately, at a small size, the detail, especially of the coins, is lost. Here are some 100% closeups: [link]

Edit (5/20/09):
I realized last night after I turned off my computer that I forgot to add a bit of a print to the clothing, so I went ahead and did that real quick just now. ^.^;

Edit (5/27/09):
Sorry, deviantArt is really stupid about their prints. Resubmitting my entire image to my account is the only way I can see to change the print image. Apologies for the lost comments and faves! (_ _)

I love all the small details!

Most of it is something you'd look right over unless you were searching for it.

You did a fantastic job on this.
I'd like to know what program you use. If that's okay.

But overall, thumbs up!
Keep it up!

Thank you! I used Photoshop for it (and most everything I do). ^^

I've never tried SAI, but I've seen a few people here mention it and I was thinking about checking it out sometime.

I have SAI, but I also use GIMP. I could give it to you if you want.

If you give me your email, I can send it as an attachment. It's a zip file.
It's good for lineart, and VERRRY good for airbrush general painting.
